Her career started off in 1970s where she was a mere glam doll and not recognized for her acting abilities. The actress decided to make it big in Bollywood despite her South Indian features and her real turn in her career came in 1976, through ‘Do Anjaane’ opposite Big B following which she did many movies with him.

There were many rumours about the duo allover the media that ended with ‘Silsila,’ that featured her, Big B and Jaya Bachchan in the lead.

Yes, we are referring to the evergreen veteran beauty Rekha who mesmerized men with her expressive eyes, grace and charm and is still looked up to by most Indian actresses for her excellence, style and needless to say, her successful career.

The actress’s journey in the world of movies or her personal life for that matter has not been an easy one and we all know that. She had been through many ups and downs and associated with many controversies.

Director Kapil Sharma has decided to make a tribute to Rekha, as he wants to do a film that portrays the life of this ace actress. Sources close to the director say he is considering between Bipasha Basu, Rani Mukherjee and Sridevi for this role!

It seems Kapil has finished his work on the script that will unravel the mysteries and the controversies about the actress. The movie will highlight upon her struggles, her controversies with Senior Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Vinod Mehra and Kiran Kumar.

Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?

The film is tentatively titled ‘Sitaare’ and will focus on both her ups and downs. With already a movie coming up on Silk Smitha’s life looks like Bollywood is busy portraying the ‘real’ life of successful icons to audiences.

Who do you think will be ideal to play Rekha in this upcoming movie?
